This was an assignment in the 'Drawing Essentials' subject that required me to draw and color a piece about flowers.

​

I used color pencils to color the whole piece. It was my first time using color pencils seriously to color something and it was really hard at first before getting used to it.

​

I also cut out several leaves and flower parts and pasted it along the edges of the piece with blue tack underneath to give the piece some depth as shadows are casted.

​

Through this, I had learnt how to shade with color pencils and use various improvisions to create a more creative artwork such as using a piece of rope to act as a spider thread.
