When I first started 3D, I wanted to re-create characters from my imagination. After multiple attempts and failed models of other characters, I made a character for myself with an alias of "io", which I now usually use as a username.

​

Modelling humans are extremely hard, but it becomes easier and a lot faster through experience. For a cartoon character like this, the hair is definitely the most tedious part of the body.

​

Through modelling characters like these, I have learnt the basics of 3D human topology. References are also very important when modelling humans as a slight mistake in shape will be noticeable to anybody.
