Programs used: Blender, Photoshop
Date of Completion: 23rd Jun 2015

This was an assignment from the subject "Ideation" where I needed to choose a theme and create an abstract artwork based on that theme. I chose the theme "Mysterious".

After researching on the theme and picking out a colour scheme (Blue/Black), I went to try out various patterns in Blender using a particle system on a sphere. Each pattern were made by warping default primitive objects.

I then added a Twister Torus and placed the camera at a spot in the Torus and decreased the focal length to about 2mm, warping the scene.

After that was just tweaking of the lighting and materials in the scene. After rendering, I used photoshop to get rid of any fireflies during rendering and other minor edits.

Making shapes in 3D that aren't actual objects was new to me and it was a fun yet tedious experience to spend time testing and trying out various shapes and sizes to get the result that I like.
